No New York City summer experience is complete without a Yankees game, a concert in Central Park, or a chance to hit golf balls towards the Hudson River at Chelsea Piers.
At MSBA, we are not just about books and business. We are also about witnessing how the business of sports impacts society, whether it is the interaction among fans watching a ball game or the utilization of parks and athletic facilities by people around the world. The only way we can show you this interaction is if you are part of it. By being in New York City, MSBA participants witness the societal impact of sports business at some of the largest and most prominent facilities, and around some of the loudest and most passionate fans.
Participation in MSBA group activities facilitates continued networking and relationship building with peers through shared experiences. 2012 highlights:
- Witnessing the inception of the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn
- Visiting iconic New York venues including Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden
- Touring NFL and MLS Headquarters
- Playing sports and barbequing on Randall's Island
- Attending performances in Central Park
Active Networking
We know how stressful adapting to a new city while carrying a full workload can be. With that in mind, MSBA offers an optional fitness and training component for students seeking a healthy outlet for their energy and stress.
Further, Active Networking provides a unique experience for individuals seeking an even stronger connection to the intersection of sports and business. Bike rides, morning jogs or a round of golf can be a regular part of business and getting deals done. This segment of MSBA teaches you how to build and grow relationships outside of the office.
